Suction tips?

Anyone have tips for keeping the domes on? If it is hard to get any suction does it mean the domes are too wide? I fill up the small cups now but still have trouble sometimes keeping them on. I can't get the larges to stay on for more than a second at all and assumed it was because they were way too big. I'm waiting for the mediums to arrive and after fiddling with the smalls more and not getting any better at keeping the suction up, I'm afraid the mediums will be too big across too.  I see so many people who say they use larges and XL and XXL and I think there is absolutely no way I'll ever get the larges on even one at a time. But maybe I'm not doing it right I'm petite but lots of other people sound like they are petite too.

I was having great difficulty keeping the cups on at the start (using small cups). I was holding them on (one at a time) for the entire session. After one or two sessions the left side (my smaller side) just ended up staying on by itself. The right side kept farting off (actually still does) so I did a search around the forums and am going to use blu-tac and see if it helps. Maybe give this a go too? I really haven't had much time to noogle.. I have a 2 year old at home and only get a chance when I get a chance.. Using blu-tac (where the domes are against your skin) you can shape it how you want and stop any air leaks..apparently!

Hi Pagewolf!

Did you try using one large cup at a time?  if that doesn't work, wait for the mediums to come in.  if the small fit well and you're outgrowing them, then the mediums will hold on for sure.  I'm in the same boat.  I've outgrown the mediums and can't get 2 larges to stay on.  so now i'm using one of each til i grow enough to fit both larges.  you may need to do that if the 2 mediums don't work.  Don't despair; you're growing and will get there in time...

Yes, I was trying the larges one at a time. I could get it on for a minute or so if I contorted myself and pushed on the domes as hard as I could but as you can imagine it wasn't comfortable and even then it didn't last. I'm hoping the mediums will get here soon! I just can't imagine the larges ever fitting on me after messing with them for a while.

What is blu-tac? Is it like sticky tape and does it come off easily?

I don't know what it's called in your country but its the sticky stuff you use to hang pictures on the walls.. you break little pieces off.. it comes in a variety of colours too I'm pretty sure. It will mould to your chest shape and seal any gaps.

Yes it comes off easily. Sorry I didn't answer that in the previous post. You possibly would have some lying around, but you may need a fair bit. I myself haven't tried it yet but can't imagine it not working.

This is pretty trivial, but does anyone know if there should be one or two pieces of insulation around the A/C suction hose on a 69 SS-RS built in October, and how long that pieces should be? It does have a wheel well bracket for the hose to route through. Thanks

pagewolf, are you using an airlock system, or just a regular hose with the pump? I know when I don't use the airlock the air comes out, thus I don't have suction for long. If you aren't using an airlock and don't want to order one and wait for it. What you do is pump to where the domes stay on, then twist/fold the tubes going to the domes and put something on them to keep them that way like a clip of some kind, chip clips work well. If you are using an airlock and having problems getting suction to begin with, you may not be using enough moisturizer/oil before pumping, you need to use alot, the amount does matter. hope this helps and good luck
