Hi Mel,

The rings are made for the medium NB cups which are 11.5cm, the rings I made myself from latex fitted the BB large which are 12cm and I've played about with the foam Lucy's talking about and found it to be really stretchy yet unteartable so I'm pretty confident the rings will fit the BB large and XL but I'll let you know.

Hi 80323 all. The medium rings are now out of stock but the good news is that we will have lots more in about 2 weeks. We should have the large and small cup rings in about 3 weeks and i will post another note on the forum when they are in stock. They will be available to buy on the website shortly after, but if you prefer you can pre-order at a discounted price of £6.99 for the pair including postage. Ladies, I've never posted before but have been keeping up with everyone's progress.  Now I'm worried.  I got the soft rings and used them the same day.  I got FANTASTIC swelling and horrible blisters.  Any idea what caused it?  How long before they go away?  How to treat them?  I'm disappointed because I'm afraid to continue.  Thanks for any help.

Oh, sorry to hear.

I had had it twice in the past year and only on one breast , perhaps my skin on that side is more sensitive than the other.
I had a couple of them usually coming from lengthy session if I pumped more than my normal length which is 30 mins.

I drained the water out with clean needle. Dry the area with tissue paper and use band aids to prevent it from any irritation or something that may affect it. After a couple of days, they are dry and I gently started my pump again.

Kultzu, thank you for your response.  It's good to hear this will get better.  I was shocked when I started to remove the domes and what looked like condensation was actually lots of blisters.  I guess I will have to back off a little, since it didn't seem to hurt that bad while I was pumping (just a slight sting that goes numb after a while).  This puts a damper on "date night" tomorrow night (married 27 yrs, excited about date night).  But once I heal we can plan another date night.

I understand the feeling , it is kind of shocking  .
when I had it first time I blamed the body lotion as I had no idea how it could occur. But the second time made me think it was something else as I changed to the cream and had used it for few months without any problems. Thing is from time to time I get greedy and would like to get 'bigger'. I believe my limit is only 30mins and I don't want to take any risk for whatsoever to damage my skin. I know some other women have used at longer length and get good swelling but longer length doesn't work for me  .

Anyway, I am sure yours will heal soon and enjoy your date night but save the wild part for later  .

Kultze,  You are right.  I got greedy.  I usually pump for 1 to 1 1/2 hrs twice a day and haven't had any problem until now.  For about the last 10 days I had been filling the medium domes.  But with the soft rings there was extra room so I wanted MORE.  Lesson learned...be patient.

I've also had the dreaded blisters a few times. I don't think it's to with the amount of time though - but the amount of suction. Each time I've had the blisters its because I've sucked too much air out of the domes, just trying to get my boobs to fill onto the next level of the inches ruler on the domes. Big mistake!

I've not used the rings and I worry that if you introduce something that reduces the pain (ie the point when you know you have maybe pumped a little too much and the point where you'll get blisters) more women and men using the breast pumps are going to get blisters.

Are you saying that u could get the blisters even in short time (like 10 mins ?) but only if u pump it very hard ? For me it will be just a redish but not blisters. Blisters come from any lengthy activities that irritate skin. But yeah, you got the point, we should not be pumping very hard in a lengthy session. However, this is very individual....some can take more , some less. Just listen to your body and be really careful on what u do.

I , too, want to hear more from people who use the soft rings.

Hello All,

I too have had a few instances of blisters, not being in the medical profession I can't say it was from too much suction or extended wear or a combination of both. I can say with certainty that each time I was wearing my NB for an extended period of time and was over zealous with my pumping.
